Gevangenisontsnapping (Prison break)
This project is put behind the gaze of the migrant, taking water as that dividing and determining element of our borders, it takes place mainly in the port city of Rotterdam which, after being destroyed during the war, gave way to unconventional architectural projects , which today have turned it into a place that is perceived as beyond our time. Photographically, it seeks to evoke that architecture product of progress, alluding to the dreamlike vision that accompanies those who escape from their country towards a better future, crossing seas and rivers, to reach these cities that, although full of uncertainty, promise wealth.
It is also important to note the use of glass as a predominant construction material for these harbor buildings, which resembles water and his presence on gigantic crystal facades, creates a sense of liquid space, producing reflections that resemble the sensorial experience of humans with such element.
