Actos libertarios (ES)
'Actos libertarios' (2020) comenzó cuando vi a la gente tomando turnos para orar de rodillas frente a las puertas cerradas de la catedral primada en la Plaza de Bolívar en Bogotá, mis fotografías muestran cómo las personas habitan esta plaza emblemática a través de una colección de acciones individuales relacionadas con las normas de distanciamiento social durante la pandemia. Al juntar estos momentos, la idea de un paisaje compartido se materializa como testimonio de cómo este lugar continúa uniendo a los ciudadanos a pesar del aislamiento.
A través de escenas tomadas durante el período de cuarentena, cada fotografía llega a varias definiciones de lo que significa ser uno mientras se es parte de un todo. La experiencia personal se plasma en diferentes momentos que dan cuenta de la pertenencia, la memoria y las tradiciones locales. La serie reúne diferentes capas de la llamada nueva normalidad, donde los personajes retratados se entrelazan por sus gestos personales en el espacio público.

Liberties (EN)
´Liberties´ (2020) started when I saw people taking turns to pray on their knees in front of the closed doors of the main cathedral at the Plaza de Bolívar in Bogotá, my photographs show how people inhabit this landmark square through a collection of individual actions related to the pandemic’s social distancing rules. By putting these moments together the idea of a shared landscape materializes as testimony of how this place continues to bring citizens together despite the isolation.
Through scenes taken during the quarantine period, each photograph comes to various definitions of what it means to be one while being part of a larger whole. The personal experience is captured in different moments that account for the belonging, the memory and the local traditions. The series gathers a different strata of the so-called new normal, the characters portrayed are intertwined by their personal gestures in public space, in the midst of social distancing.
